Thoughts on Baldur’s Gate 3:

• spell slots are the most annoying game mechanic I’ve ever seen
• every conversation as a tiefling PC has an option like “Well, as a Tiefling…”
• picture a tombstone that says “here lies d&d, if died of being too fucking crunchy”

I’m truly awful at the combat in this game. Why are there so many systems? (I’m playing on easy so it’s fine, I’m just constantly like wtf is going on)

it’s literally the most frustrating experience coming from other systems for the last few years. why are there over 10 action resources? “why is this version of the spell concentration and this one until long rest???” these are wildly different!! why are so many buffs concentration.

also. i can SEE the end goal at the bottom of the cliff! i have cast featherfall!! why does it not let us yeet ourselves off the cliff???

anyways i love this game and have played for dozens of hours, once again proving that DnD is fun in spite of the system not because of it.

also also: where is my glowing green flame swordy for my sorc. HUH. where is it larian studios.
