watching wayne's latest strange steam games stream and it's kind of amazing to me that like... steam makes you fill out so much paperwork to release a game. you have to give them so much info about your game, and all these specific store assets, and fill out a tax survey and shit, and it all has to be manually approved by someone at valve. it's intimidating as a first time dev! and you also have to pay them $100 for the steam direct fee. and yet people still go through all that just to put their Baby's First Unreal Tutorial Project-ass games on steam. one of them is just about rolling a ball around. i cannot fathom going to the effort for that
