GayBlade makes me so happy.
This is one of the first ever queer computer games - released in 1992. As the story goes, the developer, Ryan Best, had developed a game called "Citadel of the Dead" for a publisher called Affiliate Venture Publishing, but they stiffed him on payment. In response, he took the engine and made his own game.
Best was an out gay man and made an explicitly, joyfully queer game. It's filled with all kinds of jokey stereotypes and loving parodies of early 90s culture, and has you fighting 90s bigots like skinheads and street preachers. The last boss is Pat Buchanan! It's a nice little window into a part of the culture a lot of people don't really know about today, as seen from the inside instead of from the outside.
There's a good writeup at the LGBTQ Game Archive: https://lgbtqgamearchive.com/games/games-by-decade/1990s/gayblade/
And you can play it in your browser at the Internet Archive:
wish I had a tumblr post on hand which was a video of shaggy pointing at a floating sword and saying "zoinks! it's the gay blade"
