Starting off my morning with a lil' ol' dose of massive fear and dread: https://www.vox.com/technology/2024/1/4/24023025/ai-predictions-2024-election. The argument about social media being a net negative for humanity is looking closer by the moment, tbh.
even though this may seem scary, I want to say that misinformation is unlikely to have changed a great degree since the 2016 election, when I saw someone who was actually shit-scared of the prospect of the democrats winning the election and putting kim jong-un in charge
you can usualy trick facebook boomers with a bit of the old photoshop. and often, misinformation works on people through confirming what they want to be true, rather than actually changing people's opinion.
