2023, the year of "why can't I look like comics Loki"
kevin feige is never letting a direct-to-video tv show touch anything important in the cash printing machine
"Loki" doesn't feel like a TV show to us, so much as it feels like some sort of entertainment byproduct. Disney-Marvel has built their enormous multimedia franchise machinery on the premise that the "Multiverse" is like a universal plot generator, a device from which they can extrude an infinite amount of Disney-Marvel content, and they've roped in an entire pantheon to give their apparatus some mythic flavor. Loki, in particular, has been like their special sauce; his antics and Tom Hiddleston's star power are supposed to keep everything mixed up and interesting, but holy heck does it all seem so tired to me, and a little unappetizing. watching "Loki" is like watching the Disney-Marvel sausage going through the grinder. ~Chara
