summer cards! Top one is most recent, bottom 2 are from June and July.

There's a card making class held where I work and they made these tri-fold cards with faux seals recently and I wanted to try my hand at one. Beach balls are surprisingly hard to draw. There's glitter on the back to give the sand portion a more beach sand look. The fireflies in the bottom card are all glow-in-the-dark and the fireworks are various glitter and special effect polishes I have.

friend and I are planning to go the rave tomorrow at an anime con so I've been spending the past couple months making bracelets. these are fun to make and once I stopped using that awful clear ecstatic string pretty easy too! I'm planning on making more for other cons I go to and hopefully have enough that I can hand them out to people

just realized I never posted my April cards!

the pressed flowers are tulips? I'm pretty sure. we got a box full of bouquets of them for free at work which inspired the top card. the inside flowers and butterflies are cutouts from the greeting card pile, bunny stickers are from a sticker book I found in the easter clearance section. main thing I want to focus more on is my penmanship: both having it be less just my handwriting and also making my handwriting a bit nice. otherwise I think these ones came out pretty good!

was extremely thrown off by Easter being this month. That is an April holiday, it just doesn't feel right being in March. Anyways I made Easter cards!

I really like how the egg one turned out. My mom recently moved and in the clearing out the house moving prep gave me a bunch of blank greeting cards which is where I got most of the eggs from. The ones in the basket are cutouts of patterned paper I had using the greeting card eggs as a template. I'm not quite as happy with the bunny card, I think I should've added a little more decoration and while it's not super visible in the photos the white paint left a texture that didn't turn out how I wanted. I wanted to get a pseudo-fur type thing to differentiate the feet from the butt, but it mostly turned out clumpy and I wound up outlining it anyways. The cotton ball tail turned out very cute and I liked the patterned paper for the face.

fun little bonus! earlier in the month I also made St. Patrick's day cards! I made the same card for everyone because I really liked how they turned out. the gold in the pot is glitter and the cloud is a couple of cotton balls.

green card with a rainbow coming out of a cotton ball cloud going into black pot filled with gold. Text says Happy St. Patrick's Day!
