only caught the tail end of the apple ipad event talking about the apple pencil, which is fine bc that's all i really care about. the new apple pencil does not have buttons, just "haptic feedback" and squeeze controls (like airpods) which is a bit disappointing but not sure what i expected tbh. not that i planned to upgrade at all, the only thing that really needs updating with my current ipad is its battery (it currently lasts like 3-4 hours max and passively drains in just a few days when not in use and not plugged in) but since i dont... really go anywhere without outlets, i'm perfectly fine coasting on that until it's genuinely not useable. i can just replace the battery without getting an entirely new model if it gets bad enough
