I had to have SV_POSITION as an input to my pixel shader or d3d11 complained about a mismatch between the vertex/pixel shader output/input and I got weird garbage values for texcoords in my full screen blit shader.

I also didn't remember about the debug layer until way too long into this process which immediately pointed me to the error. :facepalm:
