This is super fun when as far as I know the only way to have a closed family server is to disable all permissions on everyone and add them back via roles. Having discord add new permissions defaulted to on for everyone kind of fucks with that.

Yep. Apparently this is a “Devs held hostage by corporate” scenario this time.
i wish that revolt finally exits development hell and releases it's next major revision or that xmpp or matrix finally get better rather than the sorry state of affairs they're on despite the potential they otherwise have (i've used the three of them, along with discord of course)
