I've seen so many people saying "oh shit, turns out I've actually loved fighting games this whole time"

when I first started trying to learn fighting games, I didn't have a problem with learning the inputs (hyperfocus gets past some of those issues) but I had a problem with performing them consistently. I didn't have a fight stick and I still don't. I liked quarter circle inputs and moves that just required directional inputs, but everyone wanted half circles with snaps, z-motions, 360s... and the thing is those were designed to be hard to perform to make it so there was a random chance due to the execution factor, from everything I heard. and then people just got good at inputting them, and the chance factor disappeared.
now I fear RSI if I get into games that have the old style inputs, to be honest. but if more of them take up a system like this? I think I might try again.
