So let's see if I'm understanding it. Daybreak Games gave Planetside 2 to a work-for-hire game studio, Toadman Interactive. Presumably this means the single purpose developer they spun off to care for it, Rogue Planet Games, is no more. I'm assuming this is a further sign there will never be a game that looks like Planetside 3.

NB: Toadman Interactive is Daybreak's Parent company, and has been since 2020. This isn't Daybreak putting Planetside on the back burner, this is Toadman saying "let's take this in house". Who knows what that means for the future, but I'm choosing to see it as a good sign.
