I'm studying at an online university, and on one hand it is obvious how much the classes are designed to prepared the students for the job market above all. It is reflected in the content of the class, in the focus on the how to do things and not the why and on what the homework ask me to do.
On the other hands, I am thrown into the wolves and vaguely told what to do with no guidance, so much so that once the homework is done, I have no idea if I have the knowledge required to enter the job market. It's the worst of both world.
