artist alley is so crazy im logging on to cohost and earnestly saying "boy i wonder what new advertisements will be shown to me today!"
the thing for me is like I've never before been in a situation where the ads were for things I was interested in and my clickthru rate on these is like 10,000% higher than on normal ads because most normal ads are like for gambling mobile games or the concept of a brand or something else that just makes me instantaneously want to get the fuck away from it
Which is to say:
- I do not mind ads when they are both relevant and not actively being forced on me, and in fact seek them out because they are relevant
tbh this is basically how the classified ads in newspapers used to work
all that is old is new again
