hello if you still have a twitter account and are interested in the plushies/clown dolls/clown designs i make, please vote in my poll here so i can get a better idea of stuff i can do moving forward. more info and explanation in the readmore.

as stated in the tweet, i make a lot of clown designs with the eventual intention of making them into dolls but as i do general commissions and i have a day job i can't make dolls of all the clowns i make. so heres the interest check on me basically selling the clown designs as adoptables!

additionally the plan is if you purchase a design, if you want me to make it into a doll still i will at a discount to you. designs are gonna be around $45 and with the doll discount you can get a clown doll for $60 (so around a total of $105+shipping for the total package)

i'll make more hardened terms before i actually do this, but the designs would be for personal use only. but you would own the design and can remix and reedit however you want. (commercial terms would be on a case by case basis, as is how that stuff usually goes)

clown dolls were always a community-based feature of the plushie work i do so it feels appropriate to poll my audience and friends on if this is something i should pursue doing.

also just thank you if you've liked anything i've made and showed on cohost so far! you are all so kind and i appreciate you all a lot!

For the future, I believe there is a way to do polls here on cohost. It would involve some understanding of css crime, and I don't know where the template is. But for those who don't want to log on to the bird app or rev up them fryers, just something to consider.

Otherwise, I think this is really cool to learn. Personally, I am not sure if I would adopt for the reason that if I adopted and did not frequently use or meaningfully care for my adoption, I would be lowkey inconsolable. I genuinely don't know why that is, but yeah. I would totally get a doll tho. Adopts are so fkin weird, it's the same for characters.

i was thinking of doing a css crime poll for this, but i was on my phone at my day job at the time of this and wouldn't be able to make a real dedicated post to this for several hours until i got home if i did that and i figured the closer temporal relation to the twitter post i made the better, hence why i did it the way i did. i was thinking about it however and i think for the next time i try to do something like this i will probably try that method, but thank you for the pointer and reminder on that!

i'm likewise a little weird about adopts, i've purchased so few of them but because i have the skills to make and draw my own characters so i've not interacted with them enough to know how the general public including people that are like me and people that are not feel about them. if i can work it right, i'll still be making dolls half of the time and the other designs i feel confident about would be in the adoptables group but know i won't have time to make into dolls immediately will be what fall under the adoptable category jurisdiction due to my other commission queue and day job stuff. at the time of this post, i have 13 clown designs i've made over the past several months and only 3 i've actually been able to make into dolls thusfar, so i'm trying to mitigate the difference between those since the number of designs is always going to get exponentially larger. i'm still going to make fully original clowns that won't have design companions, it's kind of like relegating my designs into two separate but obviously overlapping categories.

i thought about trying to find a way to "reserve" designs for dolls at a later date that won't drive my production schedule into pieces, but the cleanest way possible would be to just have someone purchase individual rights to the design so they can decide to do in the meantime, take the design into further their own, or ask me to do something more with it (plushie stuff).
