what is your favorite shakespeare play and why is it your favorite?

my favorite is othello, followed by love's labour's lost othello, the character, reaches higher highs than i think most other protagonists and then subsequently reaches lower lows with sheer human reaction and simplicity. i love iago the character as well and i think it's narratively amazing.

and i think love's labour's lost just has some of my favorite monologues out of any of the plays. they are playful and flowery in just the right way i enjoy.

(i am also partial to macbeth and hamlet, i just seem to love the tragedies lol)

i think my favorite is A Midsummer Night's Dream because 1) it is one of the few I've actually read and 2) i love fey drama. a husband and wife throwing shade so hard they fuck up the lives of bystanders is peak shit
