is it me or is there like... an uptick in people saying shit like "i wrote an ai to do this thing!" when the "ai" in that sentence means that they just. wrote a script or program that runs to do something.
i just saw and blocked a twitter ad that was like "i wrote an ai to search listings for X product/investment thing" or whatever the text was but like. thats just a script. you dont need a neural network artificial intelligence to just. do a basic ass web dev task like that.
but i guess its all marketing and optics and buzzwords but all it does is make anyone who realized the grift (someone who's looked at a single line of code in their entire life) even more pissed off at ai than usual.
