ok it's been like weeks since i put this on clownpost, but i really need to drill down on the fact this pony has a fucking clown horn cutie mark. i don't know shit about mlp lore but i at least know that the cutie mark is important and it's like. your personal brand for the majority of your pony life or whatever. (maybe im even wrong about that, but i dont see rainbow dash with a different cutie mark so i have to assume that this is true)

what i need to understand is if this pony was like. gender assigned clown at birth with that clown horn cutie mark. like what else could you grow up into becoming with that cutie mark? a fucking vintage car/bike enthusiast??? was this pony destined to be a clown????

From my very limited mlp knowledge, I think cutie marks are something that appear in adolescence, once a pony has sort of developed a personality and interests. It is kind of weird that they would effectively be stuck with a mark that defined them in their like... preteen years. I was definitely up to some stupid shit when I was 12.

I mean it doesn't show up immediately when the pony is born. They do only get the one but they gotta discover they have that "talent" to actually get it to show up.
So effectively yeah destined to be a clown but this pony had to seek out being a clown first for the horn to show up and affirm "yeah you're a clown"

I mean along with others about "it's just a talent" so it's not like forced pre-ordained job/life requirements. Just like anyone starts developing talents when we grow up, We can choose to follow career's that connect with the talents. Big Top could do any form of Comedy career if he wished, or if he did find work that didn't require any major talent, he could go that route.

cutie marks are a marker of destiny, and generally appear when that pony Discovers what their destiny is, so yeah basically he's been assigned clown by... fate???
however as seen with Diamond Tiara, you can have a symbolic cutie mark, in which case his cutie mark is basically like pinkie pie's- he's destined to be a fun party guy!
(or a serial killer, depends what your perspective is on clowns)
