π Did you receive any formal education, or self-taught?
i did go to art college, i have a BFA lmao, which technically counts me in the formal education group. i majored in "web and multimedia environments" though which was a general catch-all major for people that were in the "digital media" arts stuff, so i ended up with classes with a lot of UI/UX people/web dev people, flim majors, photography majors, etc. basically stuff that didn't fit into a design or illustration category. a lot of my work ended up being more independent study stuff, where i did a lot of things focused around narrative design/game design/comic stuff as opposed to a lot of my other friends that were in the comics and illustration programs.
so yeah, i do have a formal education but outside of the first year groundwork classes, i don't have a lot of training in the realms of anatomy, color theory, etc. i had to teach all of that to myself. i think it probably shows as much in the stuff i do lol.
π° Imagine a timeline where you're given infinite money to work on whatever passion project you want, what will that project be?
i want to make something as crazy in-depth as the forgotten realms dnd setting, making just a shit ton of media about my own fantasy setting. forgotten realms dnd has the benefit of like 30 years and multiple contributors to it's universe and content and im just a guy by myself lol.
i am kinda already trying to do this, but its something ive been plugging away for like 3 years now and i've posted about it a little bit online but i've mostly kept a lot of it close to my chest. i do wanna make like games, a website, books, and other just silly little things about this interconnected world and moving through the history of it. i think that'd be neat! that's a big passion project for me.
