ive been playing the secret of monkey island games for the first time and im currently in the middle of lechuck's revenge, and if theres something i appreciate about lucasarts point and click games is that theyre much more laid back and outright failure is less of an issue but god are these puzzles and routes to follow still quite oblique. however if theres something comparable on the scale it'd be the sierra king's quest/space quest games which are far far FAR less forgiving so i am greatly enjoying my time with these games even if i occasionally have to bring up a walkthrough for a hint.
(i played LOOM last year and it was probably one of my favorite adventure game experiences ive ever had. lucasarts games just hit so different.)
falling and "dying" after a single platform and the subsequent cutscene has to be a king's quest 6 parody right (this cutscene rules btw)
this screams of some kind of bug that was too stupid to fix so option 5 was just added in because it was easier than fixing the animation
