synapses reconnected and i remembered the thing that radicalized me as a child which was the episodes of sonic X where the fake moon that eggman created moves in front of the sun seemingly by itself causing an artificial eclipse on earth for a prolonged period of time and eggman says he cant fix the problem but then starts literally selling vitamin d lamps to people and is lauded by the public and government for his good will in inventing something that actually helps people for once and eggman makes a fucking fortune in this venture and literally only sonic the hedgehog thinks that this is fishy as hell and becomes public enemy number one because he disagrees with everyone that eggman is a good guy now and then sonic does some domestic terrorism
