looking at pictures of cicadas last night introduced me to bugguide.net where people post pictures of bugs for other people to help identify and also just document with pretty sizable galleries for a bunch of different types of bugs. some of these posts are from over 10 years ago and the site seems to be still active. go look at some buggy boys if that interests you.
