Saw the cutest thing happen right outside my window the other day. Male northern cardinal, feeding his wife a seed as they do, when a bit of seed shell happens to land precisely on her tail. Just as I was thinking it'd probably fall off the next time she flies, the male reaches down and... brushes it off for her. 🥹
I wish I got it on camera, but missed the chance... so I made an artist's rendition instead ^^
