not to imply any computer or operating systems are ethical to any degree but having to use a mac for work im like fully convinced that macs and OSX is evil and designed to create a witless dependence upon how these machines function. i dont know if thats a hot take, im just mad about stuff my mac computer does. there are apathetic if not malignant forum responses from mac users like "you mustve turned something on that makes this an intended function" or "thats just how it works" on these help forums where i am actively looking for solutions, not the comments from people caught in the river and refuse to fight their way out. what a fucking miserable computing experience.
for the record i use a windows pc as my home computer. i dont like how windows functions a lot of the time, but there are always solutions to things if i find them annoying enough. my work computer just befuddles and annoys me, with the feeling that there's friction in me trying to organize things to my liking rather than what apple's designers Think organization should be.
