posted this on my priv twitter too but watching a lotta columbo as of late and thinking about how like in poirot, all of the perpetrators are charismatic and usually rich/aristocratic white people that think of themselves above being caught and thinking about how if columbo was being made today they would made an episode where the perp was white gay person of status there would be fucking riots about it even though it would be a totally astute and accurate commentary for this episode to exist in our modern era.
