started playing the new yomawari game, yomawari: lost in the dark, for some friends tonight. i love the yomawari games a lot, while dealing with really dark and depressing themes, they manage to make exploration and perseverance despite the odds really fun and exciting within the horror elements that build the narrative. yomawari probably is among one of my fav modern horror series out there right now. (if you remember how nuts i was over FAITH: the unhloly trinity, it makes a lot of sense how much i like this style of horror game lol)
my fav quote from tonight was "our walkspeed is really slow. we have the option of going a little bit faster like this. or even much slower like this." and then 5 minutes later we unlocked a mechanic that made us walk even slower.
i really really recommend these games but please heed these content warnings in case you want to experience the series:
