also:

watched Montell play some Steelrising tonight (since it released today) and it seems really interesting! having personally never picked up a controller when it comes to a soulsbornekiro-like i probably have some different opinions on the genre, but despite how we didn't really get that far in the story it seems like it's shaping up to be a pretty unique experience even within that genre.

something that really stands out to me is that new enemy types are introduced as mini-bosses and then you can encounter them in later parts of the area as just wandering guys. additionally, there aren't that many enemy types (so far at least) and areas seem kind of sparse of enemies in general, but it makes for a unique situation where each new part of the map you're in has the potential to become a new arena for maybe only 1-3 enemies at a time. the animations are clean (save for the running animation for some reason) and i think the art design of the game is really strong too.

Montell seemed to really like it so we'll probably play more of it together and im interested to see where it all goes too.
