played through like 90% of Escape Academy with a friend tonight and it really replicates the escape room experience well, especially with friends present. the game does have a co-op mode but we just played it via a video call and i don't think that detracted from the experience at all. it was a lot of fun to put our brains together to solve puzzles! we only had to brute force one puzzle because we had no fucking clue how to solve it, but beyond that all of the other puzzles we've encountered were really well constructed and well telegraphed for us to figure out. the little narrative that goes with the game is not anything on the level of an uchikoshi game, but it's still a fun and simple thing to pull you into each of the levels. i can't wait to finish this game out!
