i have a gameboy advance sp i accidentally smashed the hinge of a couple of years ago but held on to in case i could ever fix it since it still works.
the other day i came across this thingiverse mod for the sp to make it hingeless which is exactly the solution i needed. i was hoping i could keep using the original screen but i accidentally sliced a ribbon cable when trying to trim some of the plexiglass for the screen so that's hopefully the only thing i gotta replace.
anyway, it'll at least be fun to give life to this gameboy that's technically been useless for the past couple years if this all does shake out to work. if it doesn't work or all my fiddling has broken the board also, i do have at least one or two extra game boy sps also so i could still continue the mod with one of those lol
