ive watched a few LGR videos before but because i ran out of things to watch elsewhere i've just been basically going through his (impressively huge) backlog of videos. i really like his content and im learning a lot about old computers which i'm a big fan of (i love maintaining old and still working technology, i admittedly have hoarder tendencies when it comes to tech in general. i usually stop myself if i dont have the space for stuff but yknow).
but also just in general it's just making me think about how much i like learning new things in general but obviously presentation matters, and if you know LGR's videos and others like him, they aren't flashy edits, the videos are incredibly straight forward but very thorough where it matters. i'm not presenting any amount of radical information, but being taught things by people that are knowledgeable and have passion for the topics they're talking about really shows and makes things a lot easier? to learn in a sense. it would've made my compulsory education period of my life a lot better.
(maybe i'd be able to actually learn math if that were the case, though every math teacher i had after geometry in high school didn't know how to handle my brand of neurodivergency so i struggled so fucking bad in math class i needed to get tutored (i was in "accelerated" and "advanced" classes as well), and it's one of the things that kept me from trying to seek an autism diagnosis as a teenager because literally every presentation of a high-functioning autistic person i'd seen since then were just horny for numbers.)
