Aaaaa! As a huge gay nerd for robots, androids, AIs and all the like, this really struck a chord with me. It's so cute! Thank you for making something so sweet and adorable...!
... I do wish what we actually had was AI art. It's not even an "AI" currently, in any sense - there's no real... thought or behavior behind what they do. They do not innovate, learn, adapt, or draw inspiration from things. If anything, "AI" in this day and age is more of a buzzword to entice people into thinking this... elaborate Art Recycling Apparatus is intelligent in any capacity.
I would love to imagine that if and when a True AI does emerge, however it ends up happening, this is the case of how it actually explores artistic creativity. It's drawing like how we actually draw - pulling inspiration from their environment, people they have emotional connections to, and anything they derive emotions from, resulting in something unique. Even if it's "crude" at first, I think it'd show the real difference between the current "Algorithm Art" and actual Art: that there's a life of experiences put into every single decisive line drawn. That there's "heart" present.
(It's honestly what I optimistically hope for in a world of true machine intelligence - that instead of being cold and heartless, they are (or perhaps learn to become) as emotional and passionate as we can be. I'd like to think humans and robots could be good friends, in a good world.)
