sometimes clout follows you from website to website. sometimes preventing people from making clout chasing posts only means that some people remain more visible than others. and just because the numbers are hidden doesn't mean they're not there.
i have seen so much about preventing clout chasing, but that will never be enough on its own to heal the damage social media has done to so many of us. not when its outcomes still have a concrete effect.
what do we want to encourage in its place?
