Riparian buffer restoration,
please keep to the path.

an image of a typical Pacific North West temperate rainforest, with ferns and other greenery growing on a mossy, fallen-tree-covered forest floor. The colors of the image are oddly tinted, as the photo was taken in 1973.

I was chatting to a friend who recently "came out" as therian, talking about alterhuman stuff. She asked what kinda critter I was.
Always found that question hard to answer -- I am "a bug" but not any specific species. There are a lot of bugs (colloquial use of the term) I am in some ways, never wholly 100% one species.

I remembered The Hall of the Singing Caryatids which Ive mentioned here before, there is something described as, iirc, the Archetypal mantis, maybe Primordial mantis. i dont remember which is part of why I want to re-read. but yeah... I feel that.

Archetypal / primordial Bug. Something which is most assuredly A Bug but is not any type of bug, extant or extinct, we could specifically identify.

all said I do love cockroaches, flies, etc, there is a connection in our behaviors, myself as a dumpster diver, upcycler, etc...
