read up on south india (kerala and tamil nadu especially) and the history of their communist / marxist parties and what they're doing rn. leading india and, frankly, many U.S. states in trans rights. things are still not ideal there (spectre of centuries of colonialism + fascism being imposed by hindutvas from the north + good old-fashioned tamil nationalism) but under the circumstances they are making really remarkable progress. i just like it as an example of "it is possible for things to change"
yesss thank you!! I was super hoping someone had lesser known / Not Europe examples bc ive tried to search and of course they are buried ..
totally! i think as "the west" takes yet another pendulum-swing into fascism it is important and kind of heartening to remember that most of the world is not "the west" and that important things happen there
theres a group near me that are doing free sessions on growing mushrooms with cardboard waste and sending you mycelium for free so you can start growing your own edible mushrooms
whoaaa so cool!!! I actually think there may be something like that near to me too?? I think ive seen stickers up, maybe i should look into it...
i like the funambulist magazine for this - a few of their issues are free on their website and often contain stories of organising and resistance that are less-reported on in the west https://thefunambulist.net/magazine
