Riparian buffer restoration,
please keep to the path.

an image of a typical Pacific North West temperate rainforest, with ferns and other greenery growing on a mossy, fallen-tree-covered forest floor. The colors of the image are oddly tinted, as the photo was taken in 1973.

dang I forgot how much I enjoy litter picking. did it at work and was like Hell Yeah Hell Yeah Hell Yeagh!!!

litter picking: Amazing hobbie

I love the little grabby claw it's functionally the same as when you pick up tongs and go click clack, crab-type impulse. OR one of those toys that's like a t-rex head on a stick that you can make it bite by pulling the trigger on the hand-hold.

MOREOVER like a fun little treasure-hunt. Learning to recognize increasingly subtle litter-types, from the very obvious Colorful Plastics, to the neutral-toned very-old-cigarette. Sometimes you find Doodads and Mystery Objects.

and you're cleaning your community , & in the case that waged litter-pickers in your area are paid hourly + operating on a tight schedule, you're making things easier for them :]

:] !!
so much fun. I should get my own kit, it was something I did with my parents when I was younger so they have the stuff at their home.
gotta get a Grabber thingie and also the hoop that holds the bag open. Grabber thingie is of course for safety but also more importantly,

banner I took from a toy ad showing a dinosaur head grabber toy held by a kid in dinosaur face paint. It says chomp, grab, and roar.

I love litter picking! I do it with my lil family and it’s really fun - although it also makes you hyper aware of all the litter! I would like a telescopic picker which could be kept in a rucksack please :) Also people literally come up to you and thank you for doing it! If you’re ever feeling unappreciated, go litter picking! People are like “thank you, you’re doing a great job!” I love it!

yes yes!! People really appreciate it and sometimes it inspires them to start doing litter picking too!

TBH I'm already litter hyper-aware due to foraging & wanting to collect cool things + free food lol
