posts from @ovaltine tagged #"why do you also tag your storylines with acronyms" uh because i love acronyms also shut up bro. buddy

background: as of late i decided i would repurpose this account into a general art account, which from there would archive... not every, but a lot of the oc art i happen to have. most of it 'bad doodle' quality, go figure.

there's a lot to get through so i'm gonna try to cap it at around 5 posts from the archive day, give or take.

i don't particularly care who sees and doesn't see all of that, but for completeness, what i'm trying to do is put an index here to make it easier to navigate. thus the archive will include:

  1. The Loneliness Motif (TLM) = very fleshed out wip comic (has a big 18k script in secret) where the central plot point is an uncreative guy getting """too close""" (cough.) to his creative writing teacher one time and everything goes horrifically wrong for both of them. doesn't 'make light' of that aspect per se but still has a more comedic tone than you might expect when it comes to other parts, for example, his sister and classmate (supporting characters).

  2. Glass Thread Epilogue (GTE) (placeholder title, i'm not crazy about it and might change it) = more of a supplement to TLM than its own "big" storyline. has the same protagonist but he's in a completely different area and became a grouchy emo guy who works as a cashier for a small business (his boss helped him out when she saw him in a rough situation and he got employed afterward). also knows a purple girl who's kinda a freak.

  3. Luna Sloth = concept for an episodic collection of storylines about the (usually) meandering life of our main character. she's a moth person (so is her sister) and her best pal is a scarf-wearing blue guy who's so effective at being normal he doesn't even stand out in most people's memories. they run into a vaguely unhinged aspiring musician and the 3 of them get up to hijinks together while they hang out, very convenient since all 3 of them actually dabble in music... i guess i should mention there's a purple girl here too (less of a freak (....arguably))

  4. The Murder of Teal Taylor (TMoTT) = takes place in the same city as luna sloth, but 20 years in the past. a cynical moustachioed guy gets caught up in investigations regarding the suspicious death of a freelance journalist- he has memory problems and is convinced he somehow did the murder without remembering. meanwhile a wannabe ""detective"" zeroes in on a rich family's tailor who swears she didn't do it, which offers a very convenient explanation to the other suspects (a psychiatrist with a flat affect and a familiar-looking 20something who just wants to move house), huh...

❗️ some of the following doodles kinda teeter the line of being "nsfw" topic-wise but otherwise aren't super explicit (like, it's for joke or story reasons or something). the compromise i decided on here was that i'll still 18+ mark them just to be safe but they'll have an additional "suggestive" tag instead of a nsfw one so they're still distinguished from. a normal porn. hopefully that works

so if you wanna see only one of these and not the other, keep an eye out for those tags i suppose? 🧐
