i feel like everyone’s takes on The Trio (who will be referred to from now on in tags as “ot3: revel until dawn” bc wao that was a thing) are all a little different, which i love, so allow me to add my personal take to the mix!
some saucy thoughts (and endwalker spoilers!) included ahead~
this is my Azem-- his true name is Helios, and he is, despite appearing here as the picture of calm, an absolute agent of gleeful chaos and the (very loved) bane of Emet-Selch’s existence.
pictured here with his lovers. to his left, the honorable and incredibly easy to tease Emet-Selch (whomst he will often slip up and refer to as Hades regardless); to his right, the charming and beautiful Hythlodaeus, his partner in crime.
as a proper throuple they’re a little complicated. each relationship between the three is unique, but it all works together in harmony. the easiest way to put it would be that Azem and Hythlodaeus are the power couple that Emet-Selch fell in love with, and he is their very, very adored lapdog lmao. (HE PREFERS IT THAT WAY, REALLY. i could go on for hours about why Emet-Selch likely would be too awkward about directly answered affection, so while Azem and Hyth can function as an openly-- and perhaps overly-- affectionate couple, they both have to crash into Emet-Selch’s sphere and chisel away at his shell. And sometimes that means playfully antagonizing him by way of cuckolding LMAO)

not that they don’t love on him plenty lol, it’s fun to antagonize him like that too. and he adores it, even if he makes a >:( face about it.
plus this works out amazingly well whenever they all go to bed with each other, because Azem is a top, Hyth is a switch, and Emet-Selch is a consummate fussy bottom. everyone gets their needs met! :D
and i kind of hate how much i’m going to form a “sorry, everyone post-sundering, you don’t get to exist this time” Everyone Lives happy end AU, because just once i want them all to be ok. ;3;
