i think esperanto is fun and a half-decent european lingua franca for those who already speak a romance or germanic language (better than english at least), but i just found out that ido from the beginning has had non-gendered root words with a modifying suffix for both masculinity and femininity (instead of esperanto's masculine roots and feminine and neural affixes) and i'm 👀
