Most Pettable Dogboy 🐕

  • any/all

When I read, I'm bad at keeping all the details in my mind, so ive been trying to take more notes!

I generally have a page of static information with major sections such as:

  • Places (Continents / Clans)
  • People (Main characters / relations)
  • Items (Important things)
  • Glossary (Fictional words)

I also keep a section for quotes that I enjoy or stuck out to me (or chapter reference, if it's just a whole good chapter)

I keep a spare blank page to use as a "scratch buffer" while I read, so if a character or thing is too insignificant / boring to include in my main overview of notes, I can omit it.

And lastly, I try to do one-line summaries per chapter, just so I know I'm not TOO lost as to what the heck is going on.

Sometimes I take notes on my phone, sometimes in a coilbound lined notebook.

Also as a little bonus, I sometimes read on an e-reader, and as a big dummy myself, having a built in dictionary is a life saver; I never have to skip over a word I don't know out of laziness!
