I'm going to introduce everyone to a hidden truth: a sodium vapor lamp and a mercury UVC lamp are the same thing with different elements in the plasma. Both contain an electric arc. We are all arguing over which set of spectral lines we prefer

But there are copper vapour lasers that can be used to produce a green beam. They run crazy hot (even at 1700 C the vapour pressure of copper is only like 0.005 mbar), but can be fairly high power
