whatever's going on with its algorithm aside, i really hate that, because it's an image-based platform that started out as a photography SMS, you of course always need to have an image for your post. and sometimes i don't have an image.
naturally i've been brainstorming ways to get information to instagram followers (some premade template where i can make a pretty picture about new substack/devblog posts i guess?) but it's sooooo annoying to have to take another chunk of marketing time to do this stupid stuff. and then after you post you gotta push to story too and all that crap...and the highlights thing...
and don't get me started on tagging
