the short of it is iris is homeless and disabled and can't make their own income because they can barely even get out of bed most days

hey. iris has been going through it emotionally and physically so they haven't been able to keep up with the crowdfunding. it's a new week, so that's another $600 to book the whole week with the hotel.

Iris has successfully arrived in Philly after escaping Boston. Things, comparatively, are much cheaper. They're able to get to doctors they trust and my girlfriend and I are working to find mutual aid & state resources for them when we're not working.

They are looking into getting housed in the room pictured above for a month, and have until 11 AM Eastern Time tomorrow. Staying here gives them time to sort things out in regards to their lost ID, their broken & missing items and other such things without having to wander from place to place. We're halfway through!

It's a huge task and a big ask but the hope is that if this gets spread enough and breaks the circle of people it's been usually circling around, enough traction and donations will be gained to meet the goal.
