and i haven’t seen the movie yet but im kinda annoyed with people who are like “don’t accept this, demand better representation” and like,,, yeah?? but also, you wouldn’t slap a bowl of plain oatmeal away from a starving person and say “you deserve a prime steak!” like yes, we know! but we don’t have a prime steak, we have oatmeal. so let us eat the damn oatmeal and then we’ll work on getting some steak once we have something in our stomachs. you can’t at once believe that representation is important and that no matter the conditions, we should accept nothing but the best.
