its probably bad that it seems like steam is holding their effective monopoly on pc games marketplaces, despite epic's efforts. but god steam is the only one that isn't entirely miserable to use imo.
i wish we could just have good ol' installers like the ones GOG gives you if you don't want to use gog galaxy (i do not buy things from gog due to the whole cd projekt being a terrible company thing) and everyone could use their game launcher of choice. (rn playnite is like the only one but yk) to manage them all.
but since that is unlikely to be the case in the foreseeable future, steam it is ig.
