so funny how schools still hold the line that wikipedia is like the end of truth or whatever and regularly direct students towards encyclopedia britannica, a resource with no citations, incredibly obvious and regular bias, often incomplete information, and simply does not cover so many topics!

so funny how many sitcoms make a punchline (or worse, an entire episode storyline) of someone editing wikipedia to make it say something they benefit from when a) wikipedia's most reliable and most core tools are for reviewing the edit history of pages telling you who edited what and why and b) anyone who has actually tried doing that knows that any reasonably high-profile page has an army of people just waiting to revert edits as vandalism
