10 is too many, i'm going to talk about her more generally instead
i mean hopefully this is obvious if you pay attention to mochi's dialogue/actions, but the way she's like extra nice and happy is just a tool to navigate the world for her. she's small. she's been bullied in the past. if she acts all bubbly and excited she can steamroll others into going along with what she wants (like dragging treat and moxie around town in chapter 1+2). but being Baby can only get u so far... in her shut-in era there's a lot less necessity to play things up for others, because she's mostly around treat, who is kind to her. she still keeps a general happy-mask in her interactions but it's not like, hyperactive anymore. she's chilled out... so it comes across as more mature. but she's always been very attentive to whatever's going on. not that she knows everything, she just picks up on things way more than treat or moxie can... i love mochi!!!
