oh my god it is hooooooooooooooooooooooooootttttttttttttttttttt monday was the regular rev2 practice, warmed up with the general BnBs and then some small things that i had been dropping a lot and needed to tighten up (2D 668 jumps, TK alpha oki). then tried practicing my hit confirm drills with the dummy set to burst on 2, which was good for shaking things up but hasn't yet really translated into something i can use reliably yet bc i don't really have a great read on burst patterns yet. after that was some wakeup reversal timing practice, which i think i'm definitely going to have to add into the regular routine bc i die a LOT trying to get reversals out.

tuesday was REV2SDAY. i had a day full of meetings, literally no time between work and setup, and the heat and on-camera energy drain just fucking killed me. i managed to scrape together a comeback win against hursh, which i felt good about, but then i got 3-0d by bread and skyy and it was entirely bc i was all out of mental juice.

sometimes i forget that i'm out here trying to be a high-level competitor in multiple difficult fighting games, a professional teacher, a local event organizer and coach, streamer, writer, etc. on top of being a regular human being. tuesday was a pretty good reminder that i get tired.

today was some +R practice. same stuff as usual, continuing to tighten up the basic execution, FRCs, and movement. noticed that the TK alpha blade timing is faster in +R than it is in Xrd and that's one of the things that messes me up between the two. got some netplay in and got washed by klaige's anji for a couple games. fuckin anji. the leaf grab stuff was working though, and i probably could have done it more.

managed to keep on top of my workouts so far, which i'm pretty stoked about considering the heat.
monday's lifts - OHP went down to 115-120 x 3 x 5, squat is still chillin at 275 x 3 x 5. wednesday's lifts - benched 185 x 3 x 5, deadlifted 275 x 3 x5.

this weekend should hopefully be pretty chill.
