What would you consider the biggest change in your art style over the years

outside of actually being less afraid to create a space for my off-center horny/kinky/whatever whims, i'd say its probably the general "softening" of my work and also the complete shedding of shame to prefer drawing from more furry realms whether i'm drawing for this account or just my general action-y leanings on my main spheres.

my work used to be a lot more angular and sharp, with a lot of jagged and pointy edges that drew from artists like hiroyuki imaishi and others like him (not surprising considering in the late 2ks/early 2010s i was massively borrowing from shit like dead leaves and gurren lagann). whether or not i was doing it successfully is anyones guess but it was what i was most directly inspired by from like 2007 to maybe 2011 or 2012

over time and with more exposure to media that wasn't purely Hyper Epic Action and exposure to more people who kicked me out of the annoying "furry shame" era of my life i started drawing things more true to my whims. less being afraid to do these things out of a fear of being yelled at by people with weird bloated expectations for my work because of what it once was versus when i started to soften up

i still like cool action pieces but my work is notably more critterly and whimsical these days with rounded edges while not wholly dismissing the angular sharp stuff i like seeing still.

at some point you realize someday you're gonna die and hindering your whims because someone you'll never meet in real life might Get Mad Online is no way to live for the incredibly short time we all have
