five hundred thousand books were just removed from the internet archive and if their appeal doesn't work out, that'll be it. there'll be little legal precedent left for IA to utilize against what might be the watershed lawsuit of digital preservation.

horrible. capitalist shitheads exerting control over the best library the modern day has allowed us. back your stuff up.

edit: linked article, my bad.

See torrents under section ia for internet archive content specifically:

You can generate a list of torrents to seed given some space constraint on that same page:

Here's readings on related projects about how you can provide bandwidth for other shadow libraries:

From Capcom's Power Stone, it's Rouge! There's bits of her design from the second game too (the heart-shaped braid clip and the dagger) just because. The character designs in Power Stone are pretty striking and memorable (I've drawn Ayame in the past) but Rouge in particular is a favourite... Although I actually mostly missed out on Power Stone back in the day outside of a little time with the second game. Playing the PSP collection on-stream was fun though!

A half-finished romp through late '60s America, through the eyes of a never-nude biker. One of the most negatively-received titles of the 2010s, though I would contend that it has a compelling charm and earnestness to it:

Calling the release “half-finished” does not begin to describe the gaps presented in its narrative and the issues apparent in its gameplay. Calling it “glitchy” can’t begin to cover the volume of broken scripting, out-of-bounds experiences, and bugs which would befuddle even the most seasoned of quality assurance testers. And yet, there’s roughly a full game’s worth of content here to play through, and still plenty of flourish on top of that. There’s an engrossing narrative, with distinct characters and shocking twists. There’s variety, progression, and all sorts of mechanical layers demonstrating grand ambitions and love for the craft of game development. It’s all busted up worse than a motorcycle flown off the side of a mountain, but you can still enjoy yourself a decidedly bumpy ride on the back of what’s left of it.
