@LineQuantity asked:

🌟 What is your first and latest art inspiration? What has made you changed?

you and @cameronvansant asked the same question!!! so I figured I would just answer it in one here c:

Delving back into the memory banks, I feel like my first inspirations were definitely cartoons and anime as well as my primary babysitter--I think I still have my first art piece that I've kept and its an OC that is literally just Raven variation from Teen Titans made back in 2nd or 3rd grade LOL. I also drew some self insert characters for Digimon as well I think back in 4th or 5th grade. That was also also around the time that a family friend of mine started to babysit me on a more regular basis and he happened to be in art school so he encouraged more creative pursuits by painting with me when I came over to his place (I vaguely remember getting oil paint stains on an Oregon sweatshirt at the time).

In terms of latest art inspiration, I think a lot still comes from that love of media that I consume and the people around me--I love doing fanart for something I've already connected with on an emotional level, but I'm also starting to explore my own personal characters and building inspiration from friends art as well! I dont draw as much as I used to but I draw when I can and I try to nourish my own internal creativity.

I think the little changes haven't necessarily been in my inspiration in general, but who I interact with and the dynamics that I have now with myself. Aside from that one family friend, most of my past life I didnt have a lot of close friends that I drew with or collaborated with, so I feel like with my friends nowadays, seeing everyone else fostering their own creative internal pursuits has really lit a spark in me to do the same! Learning about my own inner workings and mental health has actually helped a lot too with my consistency over the years in terms of how much I draw as an adult! Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately??????) I am not one of those artists that creates a lot when I'm depressed, I just lay in bed and eat potato chips so getting into a more positive mindset as really helped with coming back into my art!
