i made a post a while back about how i did my post signature and it seems people really like it so i'm gonna leave this here with some commentary

<div aria-hidden="true">
  <hr>

this section's aria-hidden property just tells screen readers to (ideally) disregard the following block, making my posts read without the contents of the signature. it'd be annoying to have it read out the quote every time

  <p style="font-size:20px; font-style: italic;">The sky calls to us. If we do not destroy ourselves, we will, one day, venture to the stars.</p>
  <p aria-hidden="true" style="font-size:14px; font-style: italic; margin-left: 50px; margin-top: -15px;">- Carl Sagan</p>

a cute quote from my favourite space man mr. sagan. i'm not really sure why i repeated the aria-hidden don't ask. i think i was having trouble with an addon i was using

the additional formatting helps negotiate the weirdness of p elements - they automatically place margins to make things readable. i should have used span div honestly, they come with less formatting. i might just do this now that i think about it

  <div style="display: flex; justify-content: center; margin: -30px 0; gap: 5px">
    <a href="https://spdx.neocities.org"> <img src="https://spdx.neocities.org/images/88x31.png"></img> </a>
    <a href="https://corru.observer/"> <img src="https://corru.observer/8831.gif"></img> </a>
    <img src="https://spdx.neocities.org/_ext/88x31/just_cause.gif"> </img>
    <img src="https://spdx.neocities.org/_ext/88x31/system-shock-fans.gif"> </img>
  </div>

this little box contains my buttons! my site is accessible through here, as well as the fantastic webnovelgamefuck corru.observer. there's also some custom buttons i made myself

it's a little structure called a flexbox. flexboxes are neat. they are flexible but have box. you can set them up in neat ways, like flex-direction lets you set them up like tables but i think it's gay this time

i love system shock (its very cool) and just cause (its very explosions). i'm even a fan of 4. people didn't like 4 and i can see why. i still love it bc it's fun to wingsuit and make things go boom. unlock all the grapple mods, throw away your guns and get creative, you'll see why i like it so much

</div>

always close your divs folks edit: actually don't always it's funnier

and thats it! personally i'd recommend an addon that lets you quickly fill forms to paste it in. i use a firefox addon called autofill, it lets me right click to pop stuff into a field it's great

oh yeah and since it's a unified object you can do stuff like this hold on
